We, the faith family of Fair River, are called to be like a river flowing with constant movement, ever changing, but strengthened by the current.
OUR MISSION
Worshipping God, Serving Others, Growing Together
OUR VISION
Each member of the Church, having been spiritually born again by the grace of God through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary, in accordance with Ephesians 2:8-9 and Romans 5:8-9, and baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit, in accordance with 1Corinthians 12:12-27, do fervently seek to acomplish the good works for which we have been created so says Ephesians 2:10.
OUR FELLOWSHIP
OUR FAITH
We affirm the Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and is the basis for our beliefs. This Church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of the Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000. We voluntarily band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind and to minister to all people. The ordinances of the Church are Believer's Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
OUR ADVANCEMENT
OUR WALK
Alone and at home, we agree to maintain family and personal devotions, to study diligently the Word of God, to spiritually educate our children and to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances.
Before the world, we agree to walk carefully, to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, Christ-like in our conduct and to abstain from all practices that would hinder our efforts to passionately advance the Kingdom of our Savior.
OUR COMMUNITY
We agree to contribute cheerfully and regularly, as God has prospered us, to the support of a faithful and evangelical ministry among us, the expenses of the Church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations.
(Hebrews 10:23-25; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-15)
We agree by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness, to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrine.
(John 14:16-17, 26 & Romans 8:14)
FRBC is located in the east side of Lincoln County just north of Hwy 84.
Our community is closely bound by families and friendships.
FRBC is part of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Mississippi Baptist Convention, and also the Lincoln County Baptist Association.
FRBC has been a light for the Gospel for over 200 years.
OUR OBJECTIVES
We strive to accomplish the following objectives: worship, service, evangelism, discipleship, and fellowship.
We seek to WORSHIP. Through music, message, and lifestyle, we seek to be a worshipping fellowship, as seen in Psalm 2:11, experiencing an awareness of God, the power of His presence, recognizing His person, and responding in obedience to His leadership.
We seek to SERVE. Recognizing that God has given each believer at least one primary spiritual gift, we seek to exercise these gifts accordingly (Romans 12:6-8). Our desire is to develop and utilize ministries to impact the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual realms of each person with whom we come in contact.
We seek to EVANGELIZE. Recognizing that it is not God's will that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9; John 3:16), we seek to be obedient to the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, (Matthew 28:19-20) by sharing the gospel in our community and to the uttermost parts of the world as God gives opportunity.
We seek to DISCIPLE. Recognizing that every Christian is expected to grow in their faith (1 Peter 2:2; 2 Peter 3:18), we seek to also be obedient to the discipleship aspect of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) by developing mature Christians who are, in turn, reproducing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ whose purpose is to be Christ-like in every aspect of their personality, possessions, and daily living, completely surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1-2).
We seek to FELLOWSHIP. Our desire is to develop a church family whose focus is to live in close fellowship with the Heavenly Father, in peaceful harmony with fellow believers, and who lovingly share in all things as each has need (Acts 4:32).
